The Hospitality Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to help create a welcoming environment centered around food and drink by serving behind-the-scene on Sunday mornings.

Within this ministry there are three teams: Set-up team, Clean-Up team, and Pew Reset team.

- Set-Up Team (3-4 volunteers): Arrives before the 9am service to cut & plate Panera bagels/pastries, brew coffee before service, and prep the communion trays for both services.
- Clean-Up Team (2-3 volunteers): Starts their volunteer shift immediately following the 9am service. The team supervises the lobby coffee cart and Alfor's Hall during Coffee Connect. They make sure there is enough coffee, cups, creamer, etc. during the high traffic time between services. After the 10:45am service starts and foot traffic slows down, the Clean-Up team volunteers wash dishes, coffee pots, and returns stock to storage.
- Pew Reset Team (3-4 volunteers): Arrives before the 10:45am service to reset and organize the pews in the sanctuary - Remove used communion cups and other garbage, straighten bibles, replace pens/notecards/connection cards, etc. Immediately following the 10:45am service, the team resets all the pews once more so they are ready for the next week. Volunteers wash the communion trays and return them back to storage.

After filling out this short application, the Hospitality Ministry Lead will reach out to schedule a brief meeting with each applicant to answer any further questions. There will be an orientation/"training" and team shadowing before the volunteer is expected to serve.
